Allspice is a dried fruit of P. dioica plant. Allspice is normally dried under the sun after harvesting. During the drying process they turn into brown color and look a lot like large brown peppercorns. All spice leaves looks similar to Bay Leaves and are used in cooking similar to Bay Leaves. As name goes the taste (or rather say its aroma) is a strange mixture of those of clove, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and a few other spices or condiments.
